GENESIS :-
Having been inspired by Akhil Bharat Krishi Go Seva Sangh, Wardha founded by Mahatma Gandhi, some senior friends in Rajasthan got the idea to build an organization for undertaking Cow promotion/ Go Seva activities. On the occasion of Congress conclave held at Jaipur in December 1948, in the august presence of respected Vinoba ji and on his inspiration, eminent personalities such as Shri Badri Narayan Sodhani, Shri Ram Gopal Verma, Shri Rameshwar Agrawal and Shri Mool Chand A grwal took up the task of Go Sewa in Rajasthan. Late Baba Balwant Singh, who had been looking after the work of agriculture and cow breeding under the supervision of Mahatma Gandhi himself, was deputed by Vinobaji to Rajasthan in 1950 for organizing and promoting the work of Go Sewa in the State. Shri Balwant Singh organized the work of Go Sewa first at Sikar and then he came to jaipur and soon became a point of spreading the fragrance of Go Sewa throughout the area. He devoted himself constantly to this work throughout his life – up to 82 years of his age In this endeavor, active contribution and guidance was available from a great Go devotee, Shri Radhakrishan Bajaj, nephew of great industrialist, late Shri Jamna Lalji Bajaj.
