Genesis - Having been inspired by Akhil Bharat Krishi Go Seva Sangh(All India Agriculture Support Group), Wardha founded by Mahatma Gandhi some senior friends in Rajasthan got the idea to build an organisation for undertaking cow promotion. Late Baba Balwant Singh, who had been looking after the work of agriculture and cow breeding under the supervision of Mahatma Gandi himself was deputed by Vinobaji to Rajasthan in 1950 for organising and promoting the work of Go Seva Sangh in the state.
